Will Reiner, a Boy Scout from Troop 6, refurbished the children’s area at the library in 2015 for his Eagle Scout service project. Will was a high school senior when he completed the project. He hopes to major in engineering in college.

Much of the work was done offsite in June and early July 2015. On July 18-19, members of the troop worked through the blistering summer heat to:

  • Clean the walls and paint them in primary colors
  • Build a new bookcase and storage for our wooden toys and puppets
  • Uncover a blackboard that had been hidden behind bookshelves

Will returned on Aug. 2 to:

  • Add a kids’ rocking chair
  • Replace a worn-out rocker
  • Paint the children’s table in bright colors
  • Add a window seat
